milestones wagga wagga

The playground upgrade was a comprehensive two-week project aimed at enhancing the outdoor play experience for children at the Milestones Wagga Wagga Early Learning Centre. The project involved the revitalisation of two existing playground areas, incorporating a range of new features and play equipment to create a more engaging, stimulating, and safe environment. The play equipment was carefully designed in house to meet the specific needs of the children attending the center.

Site Preparation: The existing playgrounds underwent demolition and preparation to create a clean slate for the new installations. This involved the removal of old synthetic turf, sandpits, mulch pits, and topsoil, followed by base preparation and conditioning for the new surfaces and equipment.

Synthetic Turf and Soft Fall: New premium synthetic turf was laid across a significant portion of the playground areas, providing a safe and durable surface for play. In addition, specialized soft fall systems and wet pour rubber surfacing were installed in critical areas to ensure children's safety during falls.

Play Equipment and Features: A wide variety of new play equipment and features were introduced to enhance the play experience. These included a water wall for interactive water play, cubbies for imaginative play, sandpits for sensory exploration, a creek bed for nature-based play, a bike track for active play, and a fort with various climbing and sliding elements.

Additional Enhancements: The project also included the construction of a yarning circle for group gatherings and storytelling, a sensory path for stimulating children's senses, and timber raised planters for gardening and nature exploration.

New Fencing: New fencing was installed to ensure the safety and security of the playground areas, and temporary site fencing and protection measures were implemented during the construction phase.
