Recognising the crucial role of outdoor play in early childhood development, Bambini Early Learning Newtown embarked on a playground refurbishment project to enhance the safety, functionality, and overall play experience for their children.
LeadBuilt, with our expertise in creating engaging and stimulating play environments, was entrusted with the task of transforming the centre's outdoor spaces.
Playground Structure Design and Installation
At LeadBuilt, we excel at transforming outdoor play areas into safe and engaging environments. For the Bambini Early Learning Newtown project, we meticulously refurbished two playgrounds. In the Central Nursery Playground, we installed premium synthetic turf with soft fall padding, creating a secure and cushioned surface for play. We also constructed a sandpit with timber decking, providing a dedicated space for sensory exploration and creative play. In the Front Preschool Playground, we installed synthetic turf with appropriate soft fall padding in two distinct areas, ensuring safety across the playground. We also replaced existing deck boards and sanded and oiled all timberwork, enhancing the visual appeal and longevity of the play structures.
Site Preparation
Before embarking on the playground transformations, we conducted thorough site preparation. This included the demolition and removal of existing structures and rubbish from both playgrounds. We also prepared the base for new synthetic turf areas, ensuring proper drainage and a level surface. To maintain a clean and welcoming environment throughout the project, we performed pressure washing and general yard clean-up.
Landscaping
We understand the importance of creating aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces. At Bambini Early Learning Newtown, we enhanced the landscaping by introducing new plantings, adding a touch of natural beauty to the playground.
Site and Project Management
Throughout the project, we prioritised safety, quality workmanship, and timely completion. Our dedicated site manager oversaw all aspects of the project, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and high standards of construction. We also provided comprehensive project management services, including contract administration and coordination of various trades. Our commitment to safety extended to conducting risk assessments, providing inductions, and implementing necessary safety measures. We also ensured minimal disruption to the centre's operations by scheduling work outside of normal hours.
